For implementation of inclusive data and to ensure that it is captured at the regional to the national level, the Police Hierarchy in the three (3) interventions sites were met and their attention were drawn on the lack of data on the nature of cases that the women living with HIV/AIDS and persons with disabilities are confronted with, which makes it difficult to determine the extent of violence that they experience. Also discussed was the lack of accessibility of police facilities by persons with disabilities and misplaced sympathies shown by the police personnel’s on their cases is often dismissed, which deepens exclusion and prohibits cases from reaching the right channel.
Protocols and procedures in reporting cases by GESI groups developed and distributed to the Regional DOVVSU offices and the paralegals in the regions.
