Refresher training was organized for the existing paralegals in Weija and Madina on the application of protection and occupation orders, safety tips and how to advocate for survivors of domestic violence to apply for the orders as a legal remedy to prevent violence.
The engagement meeting also sensitized health workers, court workers, DOVVSU and the police personnel and health officials acquainted with the relevant provision of Act 732 and in particular the provision of free medical care for survivors of domestic violence.
